Antique Auction to Benefit Museum

May 9, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Greg and Betty Marble, owners of Double Diamond Auction, are auctioning off items to benefit the Utah Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum donated by Nola Skinner, a retiring antique dealer, and Ed and Judy Anderson, retired antique dealers, toy show and doll show dealers.  They hope to be able to clear all items in the next two auctions in April and May (there are around 850 items), to be held at Marble Park in Bothwell, Utah — take the Tremonton-Bothwell exit.  Turn left at the first stop sign after exiting the freeway, and keep driving until you see Marble Park.  The play ground, just below the large building, is constructed from old farm equipment.  The auction will be held in the building.  You may preview the auction the day preceding — Friday, from noon to 5 PM; or one hour prior to the auction, that will be held on Saturday beginning at 10 AM.

There will be other items available as well.  The items being auctioned to benefit the museum consist primarily of vintage dolls and toy related items, including Effanbee, Barbie, Vogue, Mattel, Madame Alexander, G.I. Joe and Shadow toys and dolls, to name a few.  They date from the 1930’s to 2009.  Many are mint in package.  There will also be some kitchen collectibles, and children’s toy glass pieces.  To see what might be available through other persons and sold at the auction that day, you will need to check the Collector’s Newspaper.  They will be separate from what is being auctioned for the museum.

Please come and support the museum in this effort to raise money for incidental expenses related to the museum and to some of the events that we sponsor.  You’ll have an interesting time and hopefully just might find something you can’t live without, and we would really appreciate your help.
