Diamond Fork Riding Club

Community Riding Club – “To always strive to preserve, promote, and enhance the traditions of the North American Cowboy”

The Diamond Fork Riding Club consists of nearly 80 men who have dedicated their lives to see that the cowboy way of life lives on.

It was established in 1942 when local horsemen got together to form the club. At the time, a request from local church leaders was made of the club to be responsible for and take charge of the professional rodeo during the 24th of July celebration. The Rodeo is known as the Fiesta Days Rodeo.

Their mission statement is:

To provide the membership with a finer and better understanding and sense of horsemanship through association and fellowship of the members.
To experience the excitement, warmth, camaraderie, and sense of accomplishment which accompanies the cowboy way.
To provide the community with quality services and quality family entertainment.
To always strive to preserve, promote and enhance the traditions of the “North American Cowboy.
Club members contributed personal money and many hours of hard labor as they prepared for the event. This included fencing the grounds, installation of lighting, setting up bleachers, building chutes for the rough stock and preparing the ground. The Fiesta Days Rodeo was a huge success and has found that same success for many years. The Rodeo continues to be co-produced by the Diamond Fork Riding Club and is one of the largest community events held in Spanish Fork. With the help of the Diamond Fork Riding Club the rodeo has received many accolades such as being the first Utah Rodeo inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame.

The club continues to be a community service centered organization. They are involved in promoting the cowboy way of life by sponsoring a winter series rodeo for children which began in 1998. The buckaroo rodeo series is held monthly for five months during the winter. Nearly 200 youth from Utah and surrounding states compete at these events. They learn things such as equine, and cattle care, horsemanship, grit, the importance of helping others, and how to win and how to lose. Buckles are given to the top places. For 2025 local businesses donated saddles to the high point girl and boy of each age group. Many of the youth that have gone through these buckaroo series go on to be very competitive in High School, Intercollegiate and the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association events.

The Diamond Fork Riding club provides scholarship money to students furthering their education, provides Christmas money to needy families, supports the Junior Livestock program, contributes to local youth competing at national levels, donates to the Children’s Justice Center and Title One Schools, donate funds to those going through cancer and many other things. They are truly a Man’s Man and a Cowboy’s Cowboy trying constantly to promote the cowboy way.
