For more than nine decades, Ogden Pioneer Days has celebrated Utah’s pioneer heritage, patriotism, and western way of life. Founded in 1934 during the height of the Great Depression, Mayor Harm Peery created the event to lift community spirits by honoring the determination and values of the pioneers who settled the region. Today, as it celebrates its 92nd anniversary, Ogden Pioneer Days has grown into one of the most recognized and respected western celebrations in the nation.
What began as a modest community gathering has evolved into a month-long celebration that includes the Miss Rodeo Ogden Pageant, Trails to Pioneer Days public art exhibit, the Utah Cowboy Hall of Fame Induction, concerts, parades, family events, and the nationally acclaimed Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo. New additions, such as Bulls, Broncs & Bands, continue to expand the event while honoring its western roots.
