Apply Now to Become a Member of the Hall of Fame
The Utah Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum honors individuals whose lives exemplify the independence and resilience of Utah’s settlers. Honorees include artists, champions, entertainers, ranchers, writers, and others who promote the Western way of life.
REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS
- Completed application answering all relevant information about the nominee.
- A 5×7 or 8×10 good quality photograph of the nominee on smooth matte or glossy photo paper, or submitted with the electronic application.
- Two letters of recommendation from individuals active in the field the nominee represents.
REQUIRED APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Completed nominations must be submitted, postmarked, or delivered by March 31st of each year.
- Nominations should be submitted unbound, on letter-size paper (8.5″ x 11″) by mailing to the address on the bottom of this form, or by submitting through the electronic application process.
- Type or neatly print using black ink if printing and mailing the application.
- All accepted materials become the property of the Utah Cowboy Hall of Fame and Heritage Museum and will be kept in the museum archives, available for public research.
- Non-selected nominees will be re-entered into the selection process for a total not to exceed three years of consideration.
- Notification: Non-selected nominees will be notified by mail; selected nominees will be notified by phone.
- Inductees or families may be asked to donate an item representing the inductee to the museum.
- Anyone can make a nomination to the Hall of Fame, excluding members of the Utah Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Museum committee. The committee may suggest to someone who submits papers, but it will be up to the prospective nominee to follow through.
