There's always time for one last roundup
The Utah Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum will present Craig Allen, Chairman of the Back Country Horsemen of Utah, at Ogden’s First Friday Art Stroll on September 1st at the Union Station, 2501 Wall Avenue at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Our Tools of the Trade Series is proud to have Craig as our guest explaining his dedication to the education of the proper use of pack and saddle stock on public land. He has been asked to participate in several planning and policy meetings with local, state and federal managers to provide the equestrian point of view. In 2007 he became a Leave No Trace Master Educator. In 2013 he became the Utah State Advocate for Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics Committee and thoroughly enjoys teaching others, in small or large groups, how we can work and play on our public lands while minimizing the impact of that use. Craig is the current Chairman of the Utah Recreational Trail Advisory Committee and serves on the Executive Committee of Weber Pathways,
During his presentation Craig will be demonstrating on a life-size fiberglass horse how to do bed roll packs and prepare a pack saddle for Western or English saddles. For anyone interested in these demonstration it is recommended that they arrive at the beginning. He will be available to answer any questions. This will be of particular interest to those getting ready for the upcoming hunting seasons.
